Brandon Sanderson

“We tell ourselves stories in order to live.”

Word prompt: Narrator .Written for Challenge – Narrative Writing

Yes, A New Beginning, Is what you gave to me.
It‘s not that, I had never smiled before.
But the smile, I have now seems different to me.
It’s Something New, it’s Something I felt never before.

I speak nothing to you, Yet I feel so light.
The Words unspoken, unsaid, un -revealed are so right.
Yet I have disclosed every bit of mine.
I Do not understand why? But my faith in you is immensely high.

Like a fairy tale, I feel you had always been mine.
I want to discover, I want to observe myself,
I wonder Whats going on with me now.
Something peculiar about us, Isn’t it true for you?

True like a Phoenix, You gave me strength of rebirth.
Power to discover myself, You gave me faith I too, can rule.
True like immortality, you gave me Faith “nothing is impossible”.
Force to fight with the world, to prove my will.

Like undiscovered lands, Unseen beauty of the world.
Gems beneath the deep sea waters, Plant with the name ‘touch me not’.
I looked for you everywhere, I searched for you in everyone,
I got only failures, pain grew more till I found you now.

You make me feel stronger, Like a pillar to hold on.
You make me feel beautiful, Like a secret to admire for.
You make me feel incomplete, Like a heartless critic.
What so ever, I feel, I do something new, afresh somehow.

How long would it last, I ask myself often now.
Whatever it be, I would always remember you.
Indeed a New Beginning, That’s what you gave to me.
Yes, A New Beginning, Is what you gave to me.
